Dorsey: CNN Created ‘Conflict’ to Film During Ferguson Riots

PoliticsDorsey: CNN Created 'Conflict' to Film During Ferguson Riots

San Francisco (Times Of Ocean)- Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter, accused CNN of creating conflict during the Ferguson riots for the cable news network to film.

A police officer fatally shot an unarmed Black teenager in Ferguson in 2014, igniting racially charged protests.

Former Miss Iraq Sarah Idan said Monday that covering events in her homeland taught her that “even CNN sometimes sells false news.” Twitter

“Every media is prone to either mistakes or deliberate corruption. Do your own investigation before believing everything they tell you,” Idan tweeted.

Dorsey, Twitter’s former CEO, agreed with Sarah.

“I know this from watching them create conflict during the Ferguson protests and filming the protestors chanting ‘f**k CNN,'” Dorsey tweeted.

Howard Kurtz, a Fox News media journalist during the Ferguson protests, accused some media members of “grandstanding.”

“The agitators want exposure,” Kurtz said on Fox News Channel in 2014.

“They see the bright lights, they see the correspondents are making a name for themselves, and they openly support the protesters.”

Kurtz was especially surprised by CNN’s Jake Tapper, who challenged the tactics of the police in the middle of a protest, saying,”There is nothing happening on this street right now that merits the scene from Bagram. Nothing.”

Brian Stelter, CNN’s chief media officer, shared a Washington Post story alleging that Fox News host Tucker Carlson was “selling doubt.”

“So you’re all selling hope?” Dorsey tweeted in response to Stelter.

Spiers defended Stelter, sparking the exchange that led to Dorsey’s accusation about CNN and Ferguson.

“They’re selling truth, which is hopeless,” Spiers tweeted. “It’s supposed to inform you, not make you feel some kind of way.”

Alex Salvi, Newsmax Foreign Correspondent, shared Stelter’s tweet and added that Dorsey was “defending Tucker Carlson.”

“Not defending anything, just holding up a mirror,” Dorsey replied.
