Tbilisi (The Times Groupe)- Protesters in Georgia demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili after the European Union denied Georgia “candidate” status.
Tbilisi protestors blamed the government for “failing” to obtain the status at an EU Summit on June 23 during a demonstration in front of the parliament.
A video message was sent by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to demonstrators.
According to him, his country has been granted EU candidate country status, and Georgia is on the same path.
