Ukrainian soldiers have defied a Russian ultimatum to lay down their weapons in Mariupol. Russia has besieged and bombarded the port city, on the Sea of Azov for seven weeks, and it appears to be on the brink of falling. It would be the Kremlin’s biggest prize of the war. Mehmet Solmaz reports.
