Moscow (Times Of Ocean)- The Russian military said on Friday that it had hit 81 more targets in the Ukrainian military infrastructure overnight.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Monday that three shipments of foreign military equipment were destroyed with high-precision weaponry at railway stations in Pokrovsk, Slavyansk, and Barvenkovo.

Moreover, he said a training center for foreign mercenaries was destroyed near the port city of Odessa by missiles fired from Bastion’s sea-based system.

Konashenkov said the air defense systems shot down Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters and five unmanned aerial vehicles.

There were 81 military objects hit, including two control points, an Osa air defense system launcher, three multiple launch rocket systems installations, nine strongholds, and 59 areas of military equipment concentration, he said.

97 helicopters have been destroyed since the start of the war, he said, along with 421 unmanned aerial vehicles, 228 long- and medium-range air defense systems, 2,019 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 223 rocket launchers, 874 field artillery and mortar guns, and 1,917 special military vehicles.

The Russia-Ukraine war, which began on Feb 24, has sparked international outrage, and among others, the EU, US, and UK have imposed tough financial sanctions on Moscow.

The UN estimates that at least 1,611 civilians have died and 2,227 have been injured in Ukraine, with the true number feared to be considerably higher.

UNHCR says over 4.3 million Ukrainians have fled to other countries, with millions more internally displaced.
