On Thursday, Russia accused the United States of funding research into the development of biological weapons in Ukraine, which has been under attack by tens of thousands of Russian troops since Feb. 24.
President Joe Biden will announce Friday that the U.S. will revoke “most favored nation” status for Russia because of its invasion of Ukraine along with the European Union and Group of Seven countries.

The removal of Russia’s most-favored nation status would allow the U.S. and its allies to impose tariffs on its imports, further isolating the Russian economy in response to the invasion.
