Ankara (The Times Groupe)- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson discussed bilateral relations and regional issues on Tuesday.
The directorate said Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Boris Johnson discussed defense cooperation and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
President Erdogan said a solution must be found for the export of grain from Ukraine amid a global food crisis.
Ukrainian grain remains shut in due to the military conflict, causing global shortages and price increases. Western sanctions are to blame for food shortages, according to Russia, which is accused of using food as a weapon.
Erdogan told UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Monday that Turkish efforts continue to ensure the export of Ukrainian grain via the Black Sea, which would “go far toward averting a global food crisis.”
