Kyiv (Times Of Ocean)- The Ukraine Friday claimed that Russia has lost nearly 23,000 troops since the war began.

According to the Ukrainian General Staff’s latest update, Ukrainian forces destroyed 189 Russian aircraft, 155 helicopters, 134 unmanned aerial vehicles, 986 tanks, 2,418 armored vehicles, and 435 artillery systems.

151 Russian multiple rocket launcher systems, 1,695 vehicles, 76 fuel tanks, 73 anti-aircraft systems, and eight boats were also destroyed.

In the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, at least 219 children have been killed and 398 injured, according to authorities.

The Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office reports that 1,550 educational institutions have been damaged by Russian attacks, including 102 which were completely destroyed.

Since the war began in Ukraine on Feb. 24, there have been at least 2,829 civilian deaths and 3,182 injuries, according to UN estimates. Experts believe the real death toll is much higher.

More than 5.3 million people have fled to other countries, according to the UN refugee agency, with 7.7 million internally displaced, so far.
