Russia Ukraine WarWe need to stop this war as soon as possible: Zelenskyy

Kyiv (Times Of Ocean)- Ukraine’s president Zelenskyy said on Tuesday that the war with Russia must be ended immediately.

“We need to stop this war as soon as possible, we need to take enemy troops out of Ukraine,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy told the Italian parliament.

“Enemy troops” need to be removed from Ukraine, Ukraine’s president says.

Italy and other countries hosted Ukrainian refugees fleeing war.

In his video link address, Zelenskyy reiterated that Ukraine has never sought to start or be in war. To save millions, he said, “just one person” must be stopped, indicating Russian President Vladimir Putin.

As the war entered its 27th day, he said different sanctions and pressures must be applied to Russia.

“The Russian invasion is destroying families. The war continues to destroy Ukrainian cities. Cities like Mariupol, some of which have a population of half a million just like Genoa. Imagine Genoa was completely devastated,” said Zelenskyy.

Since the beginning of the war, 117 children have been killed.

“In Kyiv, they torture, kidnap children, load trucks and smuggle our goods. This was the last time the Nazis did it in Europe,” he said.

In Zelenskyy’s opinion, Ukraine is the gate to Europe for the Russian army, and they want to enter Europe.

International condemnation of Russia’s war against Ukraine, which began on Feb. 24, has been met with Western and allied sanctions and export controls. The economic fallout has been exacerbated by the exodus of global firms from Russia.

According to the UN, 925 civilians have been killed in the war in Ukraine and nearly 1,500 have been injured.

The international body warns, however, that the true death toll is “considerably higher.”

According to the UN refugee agency, more than 3.5 million people have fled Ukraine since the Russian attacks began.
